OK. Thanks for all of your responses. I knew they fabricate at least some of their stories, but I didn’t know how often it is done. At least I know I will never use Star magazine again especially if you can never tell if their stories are true or false.
Star is an undercover tabloid…although it is not published in a newspaper form, it pretends to be a peer of "people", or other mags, but it is more like a "national enquirer" in sheep’s clothing….u never know if it’s true or not. Mike

I agree with Tinkerbell, and add: We also aren’t taught about other parts of the world in school. My whole public education career (not a poor district either) was spent on ‘english speaking’ parts of the world. Sure we had some ancient Greek/roman parts, and a little medieval/ Renaissance history, but that’s it. We didn’t EVER get as far as the Korean war.
We as a nation are taught that the USA is the center of the known world, and that everyone else just spins on our axis.
I don’t get cable, but I work out every morning and one of the tvs at the gym is usually on CNN. All I ever seem to see on it is Celebrity Gossip. This morning in what should have been in the middle of their morning news cycle they talked for over 20 minutes about how Brittany, Paris, and Lindsay were turning their acts around and how Clay Akin had a son. How can anyone give a news station that gives so much airtime and focus to this inane blather any credibility?
I think its crazy.
They use to have wonderful stories about actual things in the world.
But now there breaking news is "akin having a baby"
To me thats not as important as the world around us.
