After his recent trip to Italy to visit with his daughter Angelina Jolie, her partner Brad Pitt and their truckload of children, Jon sat down for an interview to discuss the reunion in detail.

Though a reconciliation once seemed impossible for Angie and her cheating daddy, now the father/daughter pair have been taking steps to mend their relationship. We think it sort of helps that she now has her own homewrecking past to compare notes with him about.

Jon says that he and Angie often talk through email and phone, but this past week, she finally felt “the moment had arrived” for Jon to meet his grandchildren. Of his time spent in Italy with his family, Jon said:

“It was just wonderful to spend time with Angelina and Brad and the children. I’ve been waiting so long to hug my grandchildren and it was amazing, they are the most beautiful, loving kids you could imagine and I’m not just saying that because I’m their grandfather, they really are something specialAngelina and Brad are so happy together and they are the most amazing, loving parents I’ve ever seen. It truly moved me to see how Angie is as a mom, I am so proud of her – she has so much love to give and to share with the children and with Brad.”

Alright, you had your moment in the press, Jon. Now, quit while you are still in Angie’s good graces. Don’t spoil a good thing with a need for attention.

Jon Voight and Angelina Jolie have been estranged for some time after Jon made a public comment about her “serious mental problems” shortly after she adopted Maddox back in 2002.

But it appears that after the death of her mother Marcheline Bertrand in 2007 and at the urging of partner Brad Pitt they have continued with the reconciliation process as Jon has been spotted with the family in Venice while Ange films The Tourist.

“Angie made the initial contact,” reveals an insider. “Brad has been supportive – a key factor in her reaching out.”

Grandparents are SO important for children and we hope that they continue to work out their problems peacefully so the kids can get to know their good old Grandpa!

Lil Sonny J did hear that interview and feel in love with little Willow and asked his Uncle Tee Tee to introduce him to the little Willow sensation, but Tee declined to respond. But did respond, “if Willow was my daughter, I’d had her spit out the gum during the interview”, but other than that, she’s a cute little baby”. Sonny did not like the comment, took offense to it and picked an argument with the very popular but unknown producer, by screaming, whipping his hair hat and casting serious threats.
