Last night saw the final episode of Celebrity Apprentice 2010 and for any of you who missed it youll be asking who won the show? Both Bret Michaels and Holly Peete Robinson had proved themselves worthy of the title but in the end it was Michaels who won it. Many of us had wondered if Michaels would even be able to attend the finale but were so glad he made it, it simply wouldnt have been the same without him.
As many of you will know, during filming of the reality series and Bret Michaels had suffered a brain hemorrhage which he had struggled to make an amazing recovery from. Then on May 20 just as his recovery had seemed to be going so well he was struck down with a stroke, according to Fox News. He had also been hospitalized in April for an emergency appendectomy.
The last task had been to develop a new flavour of Snapple Iced Tea and Im glad to say Michaels did seem to come out on top of this task, so nobody can say it was a sympathy win for him. When we then saw the live part of the finale last night, although seeming to have a slight limp, Michaels strong and vibrant personality shone through just as ever.
Although he had been advised not to travel to the finale by his doctors, Michaels said, Its been a rough go, but Im glad Im here. Holly Robinson Peete was gracious in defeat even acknowledging that her own daughter had wanted Michaels to win. In a nice touch at the end it was announced that the $250,000 prize that Michaels won for a diabetes charity had been matched by Snapple Iced Tea, and so Peetes charity for autism also gained $250,000.
For more on this go to Fox News. Were you pleased to see Michaels manage to attend the finale and were you glad he won? Wed be delighted to hear your thoughts about this.
